Aubrey Jones is an attorney with Zweiback, Fiset & Zalduendo LLP. She joins ZFZ following four years at Quinn Emanuel litigating a variety of business disputes. Aubrey has worked on cases in federal and state courts across the country as well as in a variety of arbitration forums such as JAMS, and has experience litigating cases from inception through trial and appeal. Aubrey has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in breach of contract, tort, breach of fiduciary duty, and trade secrets cases, and in particular has considerable experience defending defamation and related torts. Aubrey has represented clients in a number of industries, including entertainment and film, private equity, and tech. Recently, Aubrey has successfully defeated defamation claims against several high-profile clients, including Elon Musk, in a groundbreaking defamation case arising out of statements on Twitter. Aubrey was a key part of the trial team that obtained a complete jury verdict in Mr. Musk’s favor and avoided plaintiff’s claim for $190 million in alleged damages and has gone on to successfully represent Mr. Musk in numerous other First Amendment matters. Aubrey graduated from Yale Law School in 2018. After law school, Aubrey served as a law clerk to the Hon. Carlos Lucero, United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
